Summary/Objective:

Assist pipe fitter in the assembly and installation of hydronic commercial piping systems.

Essential Functions:
Mounts pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceiling to hold pipeAssists pipe fitter to install valves, couplings, and other fittingsMay disassemble and remove damaged or work pipeCutting and grinding pipeAssist maintenance in changing hubs and rollersMust be able to follow specific directions; perform a variety of dutiesMust be comfortable with heights, climb ladders and scaffoldsPerform other related duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility: No

Required:
Must have a minimum of six-months pipe fitting helper experience and/or equivalent combination of vocational training and experienceAble to stand or walk for long periods of timeMust be able to lift, and carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 poundsMust be able to multi-task, work with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions, show attention to detail, and demonstrate problem-solving skillsMust be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screen, and may be required to satisfactorily complete additional background checks as required (i.e. DMV, criminal historyMust adhere to all company policy and procedureMust be available, and have the means to report to multiple job sites as assigned, to include working varying schedule

Physical Demands:
This role routinely uses construction equipment such as heavy machinery, hand and power toolsWhile performing duties of the job the employee may work aloft, climb, bend, pull, reach overhead, stand/walk for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.Frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and armsMust be able to correctly identify all colors of a color-coded cable/wires and see close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
