The Business Solutions Analyst is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of the SaaS construction suite of applications utilized by Sterling's E-Infrastructure and Transportation Solutions business segments. The Business Solutions Analyst reports to the Manager, Enterprise Applications, and partners with Sterling's E-Infrastructure and Transportation Solutions business units to align technology services with business needs.
Position_Description : Provide ongoing support including incident management, administration, performance monitoring, and configuration to business applications including products by Trimble, HCSS, and AutoDesk.Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and vendors across E-Infrastructure and Transportation segmentsEngage proactively with business units to understand their challenges and business needs, identifying opportunities where technology solutions can drive operational improvementsFacilitate regular alignment sessions with IT and segment business leaders to review demand and prioritize technology initiatives based on business impact, and alignment to both Operational objectives and Sterling's Technology roadmap.Collaborate with vendors to identify innovative solutions and industry best practicesStay informed about vendor roadmaps and upcoming features, advocate for Sterling's interests in product development decisionsLead troubleshooting efforts and resolve complex issues in collaboration with vendors and IT support teamsRecommend and implement enhancements to maximize functionality and user experienceMaintain comprehensive, up-to-date documentation on system configurations, processes, and support proceduresCoordinate application updates and patches to minimize business disruptionPartner with vendors, systems and application teams for application implementation and upgrade projectsPartner with development resources to ensure proper integration with existing systems and data sources

Demonstrated success in building strategic partnerships between IT and business operationsA solid understanding of business processes and challenges, as well as the ability to translate those needs into technical solutions.Experience with application lifecycle management, from requirements to implementation.Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and influence without direct authority and build consensus among diverse stakeholdersProject management experience with ability to coordinate cross-functional initiativesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and customer-focused mindset.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across departments.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field8+ years of experience in IT with focus on business relationship management, application support, or similar roles5+ years experience with business process improvement or digital transformationExperience supporting construction industry applications (Trimble, HCSS, AutoDesk, or similar platforms), strongly preferred
