POSITION SUMMARY
A Preventive Maintenance Mechanic Foreman is responsible for overseeing both the preventive maintenance of construction equipment and the fuel service operations across job sites. This dual-role position ensures that all heavy machinery and vehicles are operating efficiently and are properly fueled to avoid downtime and delays in project schedules.
YOUR ROLE
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance using tablet with HCSS Fleet E360 tablet system to track and manage construction equipment and fleet vehicles. Download work orders electronically to ensure accurate service scheduling, maintenance history tracking, and efficient workflow management.
• Supervise maintenance technicians performing inspections, oil changes, filter replacements, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and internal maintenance standards.
• Monitor equipment performance to identify wear, damage, or potential failures before they occur.
• Coordinate and manage fueling operations across multiple job sites to ensure all machinery and vehicles remain operational.
• Track and report fuel usage, costs, and delivery schedules to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
• Ensure safe fuel storage, handling, and transfer in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of Lube and fuel service technicians.
• Assign daily tasks, ensure quality control, and address performance or training needs.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts, lubricants, filters, and fuel-related supplies.
• Work with procurement to reorder materials and schedule deliveries as needed.
• Coordinate with project managers, equipment operators, and logistics teams to schedule maintenance and fueling without interrupting work.
• Provide status reports on equipment health, fuel usage, and upcoming service needs.
WHAT YOU BRING
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Three to five years related experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish).
• Strong mechanical and technical skills, especially with heavy equipment and fleet vehicles
• Knowledge of fuel systems, environmental safety regulations, and preventive maintenance procedures
• Leadership and team coordination abilities
• Proficiency in using maintenance tracking software (e.g., CMMS)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Demonstrates ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency in responding to all situations.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize assigned work and complete in a timely manner.
• Demonstrates initiative in identifying and resolving problems of limited scope and complexity.

• Demonstrates the ability to work varying schedules, as needed, to include working overtime.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The PM Mechanic Foreman must regularly stand, walk, use their hands to handle objects, reach with their arms, lift above their head, and communicate. They are also required to kneel, crouch, stoop, climb ladders, bend, squat, and crawl in tight spaces. The role involves frequently lifting, moving, or pushing up to 75 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision and color vision. The job necessitates ascending and descending stairs and navigating uneven terrain. Driving a vehicle is essential, and the driver will spend time at both job sites and in a mechanic shop. The position involves exposure to high and cold temperatures, loud noises, and greater risks from moving construction equipment and trip hazards in active construction zones.
