GMC is looking for a Construction Manager -Inspection and Administrative Services to work in the Engineering Department of our Greenville, SC office. The Construction Manager will be managing construction engineering projects and associated personnel for utility infrastructure projects; managing inspection team members; supporting project managers and providing oversight of construction deliverables and associated services.
Essential functions and responsibilities include:
Coordinates inspection and basic construction administration services for multiple projectsReviews pay requests, submittals, field tests and other contract documents related to constructionDemonstrates comprehensive knowledge and awareness of plans and specifications, as well as the General Conditions of contractsDemonstrates thorough understanding of regulatory requirements from different local, regional, state and federal agenciesVisit construction sites to observe progress and to determine general conformance to engineering plans and specificationsCoordinates work with professional engineers, surveyors, technicians, environmental personnel, code enforcement officials and construction crewsCommunicate with clients with the knowledge and under direction of Project Manager
Minimum Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of Construction Administration ExperienceKnowledge and ability to read plans and comprehend standard specificationsAbility to effectively present information in oral and written formatProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)Capable of scheduling and estimatingAbility track tasks across multiple projects
Preferred:
Water/Wastewater Construction ExperienceWater/Wastewater Treatment Plant experience
