GMC is seeking a Construction Project Representative to join our Georgia teams and provide support on-going projects.
Foundational
Builds on field experience with expectation to make significant contributions to the team efforts for the benefit of the clientUpholds the firm's values and standards for project deli very and client managementExpresses understanding of quality assurance while observing the progress of construction projectsActs as directed by and und er supervision of the Project Engineer
Technical
Reviews pay requests, submittals, field tests and other contract documents related to constructionConducts on-site observations of contractor's work to assist in determining if the work is proceeding in accordance with contract documentsDemonstrates comprehensive knowledge and awareness of plans and specifications, as well as the General Conditions of contractsDemonstrates thorough understanding of regulatory requirements from different local, regional, state and federal agenciesFamiliarity with general survey drafting standards and general construction drawing standardsAbility to apply technical skills to routine projects with minimal supervisionVisit construction sites to observe progress and to determine general conformance to engineering plans and specificationsQN QCExecutes cross discipline checks and coordinationRecognizes and reports risk management issues to Senior Designer as appropriate

Experience
Minimum of 2 years
Education
High School Diploma
Work Environment
Field (90%) And Office (10%)
This position requires work to be performed in an office environment and in the field. Work done in the field may consist of exposure to various types of weather and temperatures. Engineers may also be exposed to pollutants, chemicals, insects, and possibly water-borne pathogens. Employees are required to wear appropriate protective clothing and gear when performing field work.Ability to work outside and on job sites and rights-of-way of varying topography and condition
Travel
Construction Representatives will be expected to travel to various work sites to perform field workCompany cars and/or rental vehicles shall be utilized to travel between work sites
