About the Position
Join our team as an entry-level Construction Cost Estimator, where you'll kick-start your career in cost estimation and gain hands-on experience working on impactful projects. We're looking for a motivated individual eager to learn and develop skills in cost analysis, budgeting, and estimating best practices. In this role, you'll work closely with senior team members, contributing to cost estimates, analyzing project data, and assisting with budget planning throughout various project stages. This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position located in Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Support senior estimators in analyzing project specifications, historical data, and construction activities. Perform quantity takeoffs and help ensure estimates align with project scope and budget. Work with scheduling and project teams to integrate cost estimates with project timelines. Maintain and update cost databases and estimation software tools. Review vendor and subcontractor quotes for accuracy and completeness. Contribute to client presentations and assist with general estimating tasks as needed. Gathers and utilizes industry data/publications for estimating purposes. Uses estimating software to support the development of cost estimates with guidance from lead/senior estimators. Creates cost models for cost-estimating elements. Supports the preparation of independent cost estimates as part of change management, claims analysis, and price negotiations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Construction Management from an accredited four year university with excellent performance in cost estimation courses. Knowledge of basic estimating principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g., Outlook, Team, Word, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to local candidates. 2+years experience as a Project Engineer on heavy civil infrastructure projects. Prior internship experience in construction and/or cost estimation. Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam or similar tools). Basic understanding of construction project phases, including design, procurement, and execution. Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as AACE Certified Cost Technician (CCT) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT).
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $70k-$110k/yr; $33-$52/hr. The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
