Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction is now offering a Survey Crew- Internship position in Draper, UT. The selected intern will experience training from experienced Party Chiefs and Senior Surveyors. Internship Work Schedule:
Summer 2025 (May - August)
Monday - Friday, 7:30AM to 5:00PM (working hours may vary, must be willing to work overtime)
**Possible part-time work during fall/winter semester (while attending school)
Position_Description :
Interns will be expected to assist in:
Perform survey layoutsInstrument setup quality and staking tolerancesRead plans/layout sheetsWill use Trimble s5 and s6 robotics, Trimble TSC 3 data collectors with the Access program, Trimble GPS unitsPerform survey layouts by using station and offsets, point staking, staking line between points, using roadway baselines/centerlines, set grade with 3d surface modelsSet grades with given elevations or DTMsAble to attach and detach the following files: roadway centerlines, DTMs, csv's, and txt
Position Requirements : Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Surveying, Engineering, or Architecture (highly preferred)Minimum GPA 2.75Past construction work experience is preferredMust have a valid Driver License, have a good driving record, and pass a driver license background checkWork 40-60 hrs. weeklyGood math skillsBe able read, write, and speak English. (Spanish is a plus)Must be willing to potentially work nights and weekends depending on the projectMust not be afraid of heights
