Position Summary

The Water Project Manager is the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site. The Project Manager will lead the project team in the construction of the entire Project. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the project staff and ensuring quality and timely completion of the project. McCarthy water and wastewater treatment construction projects range from $20 million to $300 million, which include a significant amount of self-perform scopes. .

Key Responsibilities
Participate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of AccountsDevelop detailed Project Contract status reportCoordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract.Oversee the pay request processMonitor project costs and Job Cost ReportAnalyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reportsImplement and monitor training of all staff personnelMonitor project laborReview and approve material, forming system and equipment needsAssist Estimating in bidding projectsImplement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programsLead the project's quality processDevelop, schedule and lead project close-out processesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core valuesImplement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required10+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related water or industrial construction projectsDirect experience on water or wastewater treatment construction projectsSelf-perform experience is strongly desiredIn-depth knowledge of water or wastewater treatment technology or process requiredAdvanced knowledge of construction principles/practices requiredExperienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform workExperience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entities
