Description
Manage small projects or portions of larger projects to develop expertise in producing detailed, constructible BIM models and drawings based on contract documents, design criteria, Harris standards and instructions throughout all construction phases.
Undertake and delegate key tasks to ensure the delivery of drawings for submittal, coordination, fabrication and other information deemed essential to support and maximize efficient execution of works.
Influence the outcomes for all project deliverables.
Follow and contribute to ensuring that the project team follows standardized and industry best practices to maximize productivity and quality standards.
Actively seek feedback, gain experience, and undertake learning opportunities to develop skills and improve performance.
Setup and Backgrounds
Ensure the correct setup and organization of all files, data and information for producing BIM information.Implement and manage the correct use of platforms and model management techniques. Know, understand and communicate the defined project scope.
Initial VC Systems Modeling
Populate BIM information for mechanical, piping, plumbing, and/or ductwork systems and equipmentFollow project and company instruction to adhere to building codes, construction standards and contract documents.Actively highlight missing or additional information needed to complete work.Route piping, plumbing, and/or ductwork systems to meet contract document intent while planning for supporting system, minimizing fittings, streamline routing and avoiding other trades.Identify and communicate any unavoidable conflicts/clashes, issues or ambiguities to project leadership for clarification or direction.Ensure all components and systems are accurately represented per company standards.
Model Coordination
Conduct and coordinate within multidiscipline models for mechanical piping, plumbing, and/or ductwork systems.Collaborate with the project team to assist in re-routing piping, plumbing, and/or ductwork as necessary. Contribute to technical discussion and reasoning which systems or trades should take priority or finding the best overall project solution.Expand knowledge in understanding constructability issues and construction sequences to assist with better coordination.Conduct creation of sign-off record drawings. Undertake preparation of technical drawing submittals.Assist with the identification and preparation of information for RFIs to resolve clashes or other technical challenges.Attend project meetings as needed to support coordination.
Fabrication and Installation Development and Delivery
Add text, tags and dimensions to complete fabrication and installation drawings & other supporting sketches and/or details per company standards.Prepare final piping/plumbing spool sheets/BOM as required and/or MAJ files.Make any revisions required per QA/QC.Oversee work of others to ensure quality.
Virtual Construction Project Team Workflow
Implement tasks or activities requested by the VC or VF Lead.Ensure progress and status of work is communicated with issues, challenges, constraints and opportunities noted.Recommend and implement technical opportunities or solutions and advise to VC or VF lead as needed.
Project Management
Apply for and obtain all necessary permits or licenses.Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to representatives of the owner or developer, including administrative staff, workers, or clients.Track the progress and quality of work being performed.Manage and lead team to completion of project, including post mortems, regular statuses and continual improvement and adjustments.Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables. Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc. as required.Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.Understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Pay Range: $29.61 - $44.42 per hour
The actual salary offer will vary by candidate based on a wide range of factors such as specific skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
